Google Voice is a free (International calls require purchasing credit) internet-based call forwarding solution that allows you to create a unique phone number that can be set to forward calls to your landline, cellphone, tablet, or computer.

It can be handy when you want to avoid giving out your personal cell/home phone number but still want to provide a way for people to contact you. Need a work-related number? This is a good solution.

There are a lot of useful settings. You can add contacts, text and voice message, receive transcripts of your calls and messages, block users, and more.
