TechSmith Knowmia -formerly known as TechSmith Relay- is a recording, editing, and sharing video platform. It allows faculty and students to have conversations at any point in an uploaded and shared video.
To access TechSmith Knowmia, go to https://ucdenver.techsmithrelay.com and log-in with your CU Denver account.
The following tutorials are specifically designed for the CU community.
This first tutorial discusses how to access the TechSmith Knowmia account through the CU account and how to upload a video to "My Library".

1 The first step is to open New Tab and click Address and search bar
3 Click Sign In
4 Enter your university credentials.
5 Click Login
6 Click Create to upload a video
7 Click Upload Media
8 Click Select Files to Upload
9 Click Documents
10 Click Zoom
12 Select the video file you wish to upload
13 Click Open
14 That's it. You're done.

The second one is about sharing videos with enabled conversations embedded in a discussion forum on Canvas. Keep in mind that Conversations can only be enabled on uploaded videos, not on imported YouTube videos.
2. How to Post a TechSmith Knowmia Video in a Discussion in Canvas
1 The first step is to open the discussion assignment.
2 Scroll down and click Reply
3 Click the TechSmith Knowmia icon. This will open your TechSmith Library.
4 Select the video you want to post. Click Add Conversation so your instructors and classmates can add comments to your video.
5 Click Add Media
6 Scroll and click Name:
7 Type a Name for the conversation:
8 Click Confirm
9 Click Post Reply
10 Scroll up and click Play Video if you wish to preview your post.
11 Scroll down and click Add a comment if you wish to add a comment.
12 Type your comment
13 Click Submit.
That's it. You're done.
